Tales and Tomes began with one simple idea: that every child should have access to the magic of books without breaking the bank. Born from a lifelong love of reading (and a teetering stack of bedside books), it was Craig – a primary school teacher with a mission to turn curious kids into passionate page-turners – who brought this dream to life. Joined by fellow bookworm Ben, the duo set out to make reading more affordable by offering brilliant books below the recommended retail price.

When we’re not buried in pages or packing up book bundles, Tales and Tomes occasionally leaps out of its fictional world and into the real one – popping up at fairs across the Wirral with crates of gorgeous books and big smiles. Whether online or in person, we’re all about spreading the joy of stories far and wide, one book at a time.
